Carlos
Hello! My name is Carlos Gutierrez. I’m a Game Designer with years of experience in the games industry working positions ranging from Contract QA to Salaried Designer on titles such as Papo y Yo, Skylanders: Superchargers, Days Gone, and The Walking Dead: Onslaught. I entered the industry after graduating college with aspirations of being a Level Designer. After the release of Days Gone, I decided to work on VR titles because of the brave new world it presents to users and creators alike.
I keep my mind open to a wide variety of games and genres, but prefer to play big spectacle action or mobility focused games like Devil May Cry, Mirror’s Edge, STRIDE, and Metal Gear Rising: REVENGEANCE. My music tastes are mostly Rap, Hip Hop, Pop, and some Rock/Metal. I make videos when I can and enjoy a good laugh whenever possible.
Matt
My name is Matt Levonian. I’ve been working for several years as a Gameplay Programmer on VR games like Battlewake, Puzzle Bobble VR, and Sky Command, as well as several mobile games. During college I was a VR skeptic, but by the time I graduated I had fallen in love with the medium and immediately got a job programming virtual reality games. Virtual Reality has come a long way in recent years, but it has so much further to go before it fulfills its potential.
Besides VR games, I also play simulation-y games like Kerbal Space Program, city-builders like Oxygen Not Included, and mindless AAA shooters like Call of Duty. When I’m not thinking about, making, or playing games, I write speculative fiction and avidly follow spaceflight industry news.
I maintain a blog covering a variety of topics at: mattlevonian.com
